Hey DJ, or Pointer if my mind is not going blank on me, did I not here one, if not both of you make mention of having or had a Ford Freestar?

If so, give me some info on it.
How is it all around?
Do they make a cargo van version?
What power plants are available?

Any other info you might think would be useful.
Thanks

I have no knowledge or experience with the van, but the website says there are two different v-6's available. Here is a link for you. Ford Freestar

Re: Calling DJ or Pointer

Sorry I didn't get to this sooner I went to the snowmobile races this afternoon. I have what is called a freeSTYLE. It is basically a rebadged volvo wagon. I believe it only comes with the 3.0l v6. I have towed a 1500lb load with it and I think that is the max I would try. It has a CVT. Constantly variable transmission. It is like a snowmobile transmission. If rumors are true, it will be discontinued in about a year or so. I love it. Not one problem to date. She is a dog off the line and screams like a raped ape when you pour the coals to her. Handles like a sportscar. Brakes are huge and very effective. This is truely as station wagon dispite the SUV tag it was given.

Freestar is a minivan. I have no experience with them at all. I rented one once 4-5 years ago in Myrtle Beach for a week, and didn't like it much.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help. If you are looking at a freestyle post here or elsewhere and I will give you a more complete outline.

Re: Calling DJ or Pointer

Thanks Pointer, I have seen the freestyles, and I am looking at the freestars.
They are the replacement for the windstars.
That is prolly what you rented 4 or 5 years ago.
I don't think the freestars were out yet, maybe wrong, but I think the windstars were still being made.
