I have this prop from a boat I was given and have no clue what it is or how much it's worth. I'm a bit confused as well because on the side of the housing is has stamped 11x11 but on the end of housing it has stamped 13x14. The prop measures 5 1/2 inches from center to the edge of the blade so the 11 makes sense in that regard but if I try to search for a nibal equipoise (which is whats stamped on the side) prop that's 11x11 no one seems to sell them.. So it's making me think thats not what it is. any ehlp would be greatly appreciated! It's for a 1 inch shaft btw.
Thanks!

Ben

It's just a basic inboard prop, rh rotation. If you go to most any prop shop they can measure the pitch. It may have been cut down from the original size.

Hello,I'm not A prop expert but I can tell you the Equipoise prop came out in the 30s,Was probably the first truly efficient production inboard prop.
I had a 29 Dodge boat with a 125hp Lycoming straight 8 motor that developed its hp at about 3,200 rpm.Came with a 15 X 15 Hyde prop.
rated speed was 31.(25ft triple cockpit over 4,000 lbs)They changed to a 14 X 14 Equipoise in the 30s It was over propped but was capable of occasional bursts to 33 mph. My guess is your prop may have been redone down to 11 X 11 doesn't make sense but maybe during the shortages during the big one WW2.it made sense.A prop shop can surely measure the prop for you.
Not out of the relm of reason that it is from the 1930s.As far as value watch ebay for similar props.Value is fairly low unless it is an odd application needed for a specific application. The old straight inboard prop is pretty generic with a tapered bore sold in different shaft sizes diameter and pitches.I have 3 or 4 just hanging around from my boat collecting days.

Re: Can anyone help me?

Thanks for the responses guys :) Ya I figured it wasn't worth very much but just wanted to get an idea about it. I got this silly 14 foot fiberglass boat that had a homemade v-drive with a 1.8 liter VW engine in her. With this prop of course. I just want a fishing boat for my 9.9 Merc so this is but one of many things I'm currently pulling out and trying to get rid of.
Thanks again!

Ben
