can evinrude simplex control box be hooked up to 1996 Tohatsu 25hp motor?

We just boughtt an older model boat. It has an Evinrude Simplex control box. Our motor is a 1996 Tohatsu 25hp M25C2. Is this control box compatible with this motor? IF so are there special adapters or a kit that we need to purchase?

I don't know for certain but I'm going to guess, probably not. The only way would be to find cables that match the engine and will then fit into the control box.
