Yeah what he said...Nope. Nothing will hold for very long. A new boot is only about $100. Inexpensive fix for a part that will sink your boat when broken.
Fix it and grease u-joints while you have outdrive off.
So the answer here is unanimous, replace it for the 100 or so $, it's way to important to have that hole become something worse over a weekend..
What is some of the things recommended for a proper boot inspection? What do you look for, for ware, before a puncture happens.
Opp's missed that but still need to change not patch......No u-joints on a Stringer.
Here are the only "Boots" on a boat that can be fixed with a patch.
