New to the forum and to depth finders. I went in to a bass pro and a salesman showed me a Gen 3 9" that would go with my gen 2 5". I purchased it for my tracker 1754 aluminum boat which is my crappie and bass, catfish boat. After playing around with the gen 3 I cant it nowhere near the demo on my unit. My transducers are 8" from motor so I may not get the right-left side view but the down image and sonar are not that good either. Where do I need to start on getting the picture better or can i. Hopefully I can learn to down load pictures. I fish mostly a river that 15' on average and very sandy. Thanks for any help and hopefully i can catch on quick. Ricky
