I have a 16' Tri-Hull with 70 HP Evinrude. Both 1975 vintage. Where would I get a trim/tilt unit that would work? Does this require two batteries?

There are aftermarket trim/tilt and jack plates that will do the job, but they are very expensive. ($400-$700+ if memory serves). But that is still less than a new outboard.
