Can I run carb/ fuel injector cleaner in my two stroke motor?

Will it interfere with the two stroke oil lubrication?

I got 12 oz of STP Carb/ Fuel injector cleaner and I was planning on putting it in 12 gallons of fuel.

1972 Johnson 50 HP that I can never get to start without starting fluid.

From your description, it sounds it would be a good idea to rebuild the carburetors. Using starter fluid to get your motor going is going to damage the cylinders eventually. It is best to use get a spray bottle that contains the normal mix of fuel and oil, and use that instead of the starter fluid. Sea Foam is a better choice if you want to add something to the gas. Try 2 oz's per gallon. But do consider the carburetor rebuild for the long term solution.

A carb rebuild is in order. Once rebuilt, go ahead and run the STP cleaner since you have it. More or less the same stuff as Seafoam.
