Can I run without power steering

I just found a bad power steering hose on my 87 sea ray with 260hp v8. Can I just take the belt off the pump and run it this weekend without power steering if I cannot source a hose tomorrow?

What is your steering effort without the belt? Find that out first...

Don't need to take her out to do that...

sure you can but it willbe HARD to steer.... keep it slower than usual because you won't be able to react quickly on the wheel like you are used too....

Oh and one more thing you will still leak some fluid even with the pump not running from cycling the steering
