Are there bolt on modifications available to make my 60 hp Mariner 3cyl 2 stroke run at about 70-80 hp? There are many things I can do to my 2 stroke arctic cat F7, was wondering if the same is true for outboards.

Please do not post duplicates, Z86. Bad forum manners.

Your post in Outboard Non-repair has plenty of response.

The same high performance modifications for your snowmobile can be applied to outboards. Exhaust for example. Tuners on your sled can be easily bolted on. Where would you put them on an outboard? Porting can be done but its not bolt on. Bigger carbs can get more fuel and air into the engine, but unless something is done with the exhaust, it can't get out. So you are back to the tuner issue again. So the simple answer to your question is a definite NO. There are no bolt on power boosters. At least none that woud instantly give you a 35% power boost. When buying an outboard, if one needs 80 HP, one buys and 80 HP model.
