Can I take apart and re-use u-joint bellows?

I have a pre-alpha outdrive that I had installed new u-joint, and shift cable bellows. They have never seen water. I have to take the bell housing off due to a previously unknown gimble ring problem. Will bellows adhesive let go without damaging bellows?

help appreciated!

Give it a try, it will either come off or it won't.

i had to re run my water hose (it got kinked) the year after replacing my u joint bellows. my mc-1 did let me get the bellows off, but not w/o much resistance. your fingers will be sore for days after ya get it to give up. but imho, ya can reuse them as long as ya don't damage them while getting it off. i don't know about the shift cable bellows. i'd assume it'd be easier to remove since it's not glued on.

thanks, Don, I like your approach!.......

yes the shift cable bellows is just pinched on one end and the exhaust is actually a tube so I can just leave it alone!
