Im currenty running a 19 my holeshot is out of this world but only hit low 40s wot and shes screamin . Ive got a 16.5 sprint f bass boat with a 115 merc top.can I turn a 21p with out luggin the motor

I take it your running a 19 pitch, but what is the prop diameter? Average diameter for a 115hp Merc would be in the 13" range for a 19 pitch. Lower pitch and that moves to 14". How's the boat plane?

Screaming is a little vague.Without a tach reading No way to estimate a prop pitch.Also need a gps speed to evaluate the setup. From your description you do appeaer to need more prop Without a year and model of the motor its difficult to know the exact rpm rating Some years there are 6 different models.
Is the boat glass and do you know the dry weight?
You really need the tach to tell the results of the new prop as well
.Its critical that the motor be able to operate within its rpm rating.
From your description I would guess a 23" if your not too fussy about hole shot.
Just keep in mind I'm probably being about as accurate as your description.

You're just guessing without a tach. Maybe you can turn a 21, maybe you need to go to a 17, maybe you need to stay with what you have. How lucky are you feeling ... :facepalm:

Is this a inline 6cyl or 2+4 engine.
