can I use 140hp straight six block with 115 hp electrics

is it possible to change my 115hp straight six non distributor block for a 140hp distributor block . would i be able to use the engine electrical sys (ie mag ecu coils etc) from my 115hp

Thanks Laddies. Reason being have blown piston in 115 and broken con rod in 140 so was hopeing to make good from two and maybe gain some HP

The Ign. system won't build HP and the carbs will not be jetted properly, so I am afraid your stuck with the HP. the powerhead original made

You CANNOT exchange the ignition from a 99ci distributor block to or from a 99ci ADI ignition block. The castings ARE different.<br /><br />-W

its been done, but its a real LABOR, and you have to ENGINEER your own parts. <br /><br />mostly its cause the adi blocks dont have the castings to hold the ignition/ throttle parts.<br /><br />ive tried to do it, and i know for a fact, that without extensive engineering and modifications , you can not swap up or down from adi to distributor. sorry. wouldnt that be great if you could! :)
