Can I use the same VRO pump on an Ocean Pro 94` 175 and 98` 150?

I have bought an 98`150 Ocean Pro where the VRO pump was disassembled when I bought it. The problem is that I can not see how the fitting on the fuel outlet shall fit into the bracket. It is turned 90? compared to the fitting on my 94`175. On the BRP parts list, it should be the same fuel fitting on these two models.

Maybe this pump came from another motor? Does anyone know if it is the same pump on these models? I realize that they have different partsnumbers; 0435555 on the 94` 175 hp, 0438400 on the 98`150. There is a big number "3" on both of them. Does this indicate it is the same pump, or does this number mean something else?

The most important issue is wheter I can use the pump from the 94`175 on the 98`150?

Both of these are the older style pumps as fittings are sonic welded in place. The first one is not for a 60 degree motor but more likely for a crossflow motor. No you cannot use as fittings are welded in place, the newer OMS/VRO pump have fitting you can change.

Ok, so then I can use the Right one (from my 94` 175) on the 98` 150, as this pump fittings are exactly the same?
