i have an 86 dt 115 it idles great starts right up but when giving it full throtle in the water with load it will only go up to 3600-3900rpms it will not go any higher i thought it was a pitch prob but i changed out the prop and it is still doing it i also have the temp light on i put in a new thermostat and checked all related items but i have not changed the water impelar/pump as it has a very strong flow i dissconected the water flow sensor and still i can not get the light to go out could this be the couse of my prob or just part of it i was thinking maybe it could also be carb related its such an old motor and dont feel like spending tons of money at some marina so if any body could help he im in need i would love to have the boat in the water some time this year thanx for all you help
