Lower unit oil. I check it and it looks rather new. I've replaced a few times now. The first 2 times I drained it was rather dark. Now when I look at it, its still very light. Doesn't exactly look "milky" but.. Thank you!

If you've changed it several times with out replacing the fill and vent plug gaskets you may very well be getting water in your lube. .50 well spent.

Well its the same color as out of the quart bottle. Just not quite as clear. I've replaced the fill gasket but not the vent. Reason I'm concerned is I was getting water atop the water pump etc. Oil on top of waterpump/water intake tube was DEFINITELY milky. Was worried about water getting down into L/U from there. As I initially tried to remove the water pump bottom assembly to no avail. I didn't trash it, but couldn't inspect that gasket or replace it. I should probably just take it somewhere and have them pull the water pump off and check etc. For some reason, it wouldn't come up more than 1/4in for me.
