I think I know the answer to my questions but I want to be sure.
I purchased a 78' Evinrude 85hp. I got it up and running on the boat, but when I put the throttle cable on it wants to work in the opposite direction. My controls want to push it aft for more throttle, but the motor linkage needs to go forward.
The shift cables, trim, and start work great with the Suzuki control.
Anyway to reverse the direction or modify? I really do not want to purchase a new control box.
It is on a Pontoon boat and I just want to putt around the lake. I know 85hp was an overkill, but it was only $300.
