Tried the usual "rock and drop" and it didnt budge at all.no repair history from the previous owner.current owner didn`t have a water test or survey.
could be jammed in the coupler or gimbal but it didnt move even a 1/16th.destroying the gimbal is not an option yet.going to try some heat on the mounting studs and some oil.any other tips?

Heat around the mounting studs is one option. I have seen salt water corrosion build around them before, but not that bad. I have also had bellows go bad for a Looooooong time in salt water. Ended up pulling engine and using sledge hammer to pop out gimbal bearing that is rusted onto the shaft.

Sorry, but I thought I had posted here before.

Cut a 2 x 4 to fit from the top of the outdrive to the transom housing and tilt the drive up.

Works well 95% of the time.

Thank you DHP.haden`t thought of using a pry attempt.another tech mentioned using "porta-power" setup between the aft trim pins and the gimbal ring.
