I have changed all the anodes to OEM alunimum and added the correct prop anode as well and my Mercruiser reference probe should be here this week to test the water and Mercathode system. The unit was pressure tested and show the slightest tiny bubble when soaped up. By looking at the picture is there any product that I can use after cleaning around the unit that will seal, and can be painted? 3M 5200??
My intention (hopes) is to get a few more months out of this unit.
Thanks...Rick

NO !!!!

As stated in your other post on that corrosion, you now need a new carrier because the seal is showing, try to use it a few more months ans you will end up needing a new drive. They don't heal, especially if you didn't get the corrosion problem fixed.

Thanks everyone, I've already lined up a company for a new drive but was only trying to see if I could put it off for a few months.

Hopefully when I recieve my reference probe, I will be able to find out whats causing the corrosion.

Again, you don't need a whole new drive. You need a $300 rear bearing carrier and an oil seal.
