I was wondering if you can convert a transom mount trolling motor to a bow mount trolling motor?? If you can, I was also wondering if it is possible to mount it on the front of my Tri Hull boat.
Re: Can you convert a transom mount trolling motor to a bow mount?
Can't see your boat but only you can determine what type of mounting scheme you need. Moving a transom mount to the front means the tiller handle is pointing forward but all you need to do is remove the screws, turn the head 180 degrees and reinstall the screws. Now the tiller handle is pointing toward the inside of the boat.
Re: Can you convert a transom mount trolling motor to a bow mount?
Ok that makes sense. Thank you. I will have to see what I can come up with, so I can mount it to the front of the boat. My tri hull is 1976 glastron, if you google that you might find a very similar picture, problem is the bow is so wide that I have to come up with a scheme to mount it, and I didn't know if you had any ideas. Thanks

Width has nothing to do with the troller mounting. Find a waY to attach it to the baot and go boating.
The real issue is whether or not the shaft is long eniugh. Length required is bow to water plus one foot.
