Not sure how to describe but my trailer axle has the ends turned down so the actual axle is lower then the wheel center. Can this be turned "up" to raise the trailer? Or will they just twist and rotate back down? I got a new truck and it too high. It drags the back of the trailer over bumps.

tin can,

Yes you can. However, I would not recommend it. The trailer was designed that way. Raising the trailer will make launching much more difficult.

The right thing to do is to buy a "drop" drawbar for your receiver hitch. If you are towing it with the step bumper, I wouldn't.

Get a receiver hitch with the proper drawbar for your trailer tongue height. The trailer should be towed as close to level as possible.

I would think you would screw up the camber on the axles by fliping it over and increase wear on the tires

You are correct dakotashooter2.The axles have a bend in them so that when you put a load on the trailer the tires will run flat and not on one of the two edges.

A dropped receiver is the way to go. But if you are so inclined, you can remount the axle under the spring (if it is currently over) this will give you about 3" lift. Keep in mind 3" is a lot of lift. We have done this on campers because where we go camping requires extra ground clearance. You have to buy new spring perch pads for you axle and weld them on.

DougV>
