Just bought a new Minn Kota Endura Maxx 55lb a couple months ago. Getting ready to use it for the first time. I cannot seem to find my owners manual anywhere. I checked the prop nut and got about 1 whole turn from where the factory had it set. Without having my owners manual I do not know if I did the right thing or not. Can you overtighten the nut? Does anybody know what this should be torqued to?

You could over tighten anything.Being it is probably a plastic nut and a plastic prop I would think the factory probably had it right.
What did you tighten it with? Is it designed to be tightened with a tool? Did you use your fingers or a tool?
What keeps the nut tight?
I guess you could go to Cabellas or somewhere and check the nuts on the display motors.
Minn Kota probably has a contact number or a web site.

In the manual it says
"Tighten prop nut 1/4 turn past snug.[25-35 inch lbs.]
Be careful, over tightening can damage prop."

I almost left out the 25-35 inch lbs....DO NOT use foot lbs.
Just snug it up and go alittle bit more.
