...........I'm right here Ken...naturally. I left work about 20 minutes ago to make sure I nicely settled and ready.
A very interesting fact about this tournament is they were saying that it injects well over $50,000,000 into the local economy...so kudo's to Buffalo for taking it on. Hopefully there are some short term paybacks financially for hosting it.

....no problem.....this kind of start never hits me negatively. I think a goal against often seems to settle them down a little which in the first few games is so important.
The majority of the action right now is biased towards the Czech end...and I'm just waiting for that first one.
I think of the Russians scoring first in the last game and then Canada coming back consistently helps them understand the process a bit.

No one...any fighting brings an immediate and permanent ejection from the entire tournament.
That said, that was some kind of hit that Kassian put on the Czech. Kassian is 6'-3"/226 lbs....so he is a pretty big kid. The hit was pretty clean and open ice...elbows down, legs in and tight...just an awful lot of size and mass hitting somebody.
Regardless, hopefully the Czech kid bounces back, nobody likes to see injuries in these tournaments.
