I saw the one about candied weenies but this one is real. Has anyone ever done this?

Melt some sugar and a little vinigar in a pot then take some jalapenos, slice them up and put them in until they get tender. Put a slice or two on a snack cracker with cheese and maybe a slice of summer sausage...MMMMMMMM boy its good. You taste the sweetness of the sugar then the heat of the jalapeno jumps in there on ya...its really good yall oughta try it sometime.

I grow my peppers and have done this every year. I always do enough to can them this way. I should have mentioned that for every cup of sugar you melt add about 4 tablespoons of vinegar. That just keep something from growin in the jar.

I am on a low glycemic diet, I really shouldnt indulge in that sorta stuff

if I did however, I would take brown sugar, a touch of molasses, and utilize the vinegar in tobasco for the vinegar aspect, and maybe a touch of smoke flavor just to blend the sweet and hot together

and now, I want to try what I just concocted, lol

and here is a heads up gang

BJ's has a gallon jar of jalepenos for 4 bucks, I mean, why grow em when they do all the hard stuff for FOUR DOLLARS, lol

I guess sams club, costco, et al would have similar deals
