HISTORY
Sea Ray called this boat Fisherman , changed name too Laguna ,
Early Lagunas walk around / cuddy , IO' , after a few years Lagunas had OB
Lagunas went center consoles , OB'S were they sit today
On my boat Original engine was done , Sitting years at home
Purchased a 31 ft luxury power cruiser , Twin gas guzzler feed me engines ,
If I did not have the big boat would have fixed the sea ray ,
Got the bug too get my old boat back on the water , fishing , trailering ,
Found a almost new 3.7 Mercuiser with 17 hours , NEW OLD INVENTORY ,
Manifold & Riser , new , engine was sitting in storage ,
3.7 has 165 HP
original engine had 185
Felt it was the fastest way too get boat back on water
Pulling old engine discovered the fiberglass movement at the transom , Stripped engine room
Cut transom outer skin , transom wood was crumbling ,
On this boat floor covers stringers .
Wood in fuel tank cavity trashed ,
Can feel foam , wet
wood motor mount , trash
Floor has too be cut out , too gain access too bones
LOT OF WORK . Never doing transom or fiberglass work ,
Shop too redo ? Costly for a boat not worth more then 5 thousand .
Recently saw same boat on POP Yachts , had twin 4 cylinder IO's 25 feet , tower , out riggers ,
advertised as a fishing machine , $ 12 thousand
Last week I saw a 21 ft Laguna same exact boat with OB , 1995 , $ 5500.
FEW WEEKS AGO STIPPED everything off boat , down the rails , wiring , WAS GOING TOO TAKE TOO LANDFILL. Engine , trailer , parts would bring more then the value
PROBLEM I HAVE , CANT BRING MYSELF TOO TRASH BOAT ,
Newer styled boats like Robalo's , Prolines, Cobia's are set up sweet , no wood
Early 2000's selling 12 - 15 grand , except used is used , Engines are costly ,
I love the styling of early Grady Whites , My boat is similar
Finding a LEGIT SHOP ? quality work , it could cost 5- 7 thousand ,
IN THERY with almost new engine , ALMOST A NEW BOAT , except Alpha 1 old, seats worn , cabin cushions old, smelly , time too redo , bimini has wholes ,
REALLY HAVE TOO REDO EVERYTHING , Only thing that looks good is hull
FOR 10 THOUSAND , were are you going too find a new boat ??
