I can get to the OEM parts page, but all I see is a list of o-ring, o-ring, o-ring, bellow, clamp, clamp, o-ring, etc with part numbers, but no description or pictures to show me which ones I am looking at. When I click on the part number, it adds it to my shopping cart, but I have no idea which part it is.

Is there a place I can go for an exploded view, so I can see exactly which o-ring, clamp, or bellow I am ordering?

Otherwise, I have to go to a local shop, pay double to a middle man, and then get the wrong part anyway.

Doing the bellows swap on a Volvo SX drive, and need all the o-rings, bellows, clamps, etc. It looks like I can get a bunch of them in "kits".

Mine is SX M1.79

Up, just above your original post, click on Volvo Penta parts. Then OEM parts, find your drive/engine and look at the parts diagrams.

These guys have pretty good diagrams available to the public.

Remember, alot of us who might help you here are also "a local shop" and being slammed by the guy looking for help kind of bites.

If you are "a local shop" and are willing to jump in and help me, I have no problem paying you as a middle man.

I see no reason I should find my own parts, then search for a shop who does nothing but order the parts, then double charge me, and call that "business". But if you find me, help me, get the parts, and then charge me a fair "helper's fee" I have no problem with that.

But as I am now, I am finding my own parts, part numbers, then driving to the other side of Houston to a "dealer" who will go online, maybe to this site, and buy the parts I ask for and up-charge me, and THAT is not good business.

Don, that is what I am doing, and not seeing any parts diagrams.

These are the best I can get, regardless of where I go.

Just not a good blow up or list of parts.

It appears to me you are asking for online help finding the part numbers. I'm at work at my shop now (not local to you but a local shop for others) taking time to try to help you find what you need for no benifit to me accept helping someone out.

The information you want is available both here where Don showed you or at the link I provided.

I will log in with a Windows machine and see if it makes a difference, but with this Linux machine, I am not getting any parts diagrams. I get a couple of parts lists, but "o-ring" means nothing to me unless I can see which one it is.

You aren't going to find what you want by doing a search for orings or whatever you are doing.
You go to the OEM parts lookup, find your engine or drive by model number, then find the section you want to look at. It's there, you just have to use it by following the links.

Re: Can't find my parts online. Cany someone help?

Sorry for not clearly stating what I am doing.

I have now found a couple of exploded parts diagrams, but not all that I need. I can at least see one of the odd-shaped "o-rings" I am looking for, so I have that part number, and I have the numbers for the bellows.

Seems to work better through firefox compared to chrome.

I think using IE on a windows machine will give me better results.

I tend to shop and use linux for online searches so I don't have to worry about malware and viruses, but every now and then, linux has its limits.

Sierra 18-2699 has the funky o-ring for the water passage and the drive shaft o-rings for the outdrive.

Those are the explodeds I needed. I guess I just wasn't navigating the menus correctly.

Re: Can't find my parts online. Cany someone help?

Oddly, I can click on your links, see the stuff, then go back one link up the line of links (the blue link-to-link chain at the top of the page), and try to find my way back, and cannot get back to it without coming back to your original link that you posted in your post to my thread.

So I am sure it is a linux and/or internet cache issue.

Annoying as heck, but now at least I know I can SEE the items. But I need your posted links to get to them.:confused::confused:

I am so sorry to waste your guys' time. You can consider this a "solved" link and stop responding. I have what I need from your posted links to get the items I need.

Thanks a bunch!

Re: Can't find my parts online. Cany someone help?

Ended up finding a volvo parts dealer and they complained that their parts finding software was just as user un-friendly as the one here. Exploded views left much to be desired, as well.

But, got my parts, and have part numbers for next time I need to make an order.
