I haven't been able to find a replacement part for my manual starter assembly on my 9.9ho 1975 johnson.

It is the plastic gear that sit on top of the recoil spring and engages the flywheel when I pull the rope.

My problem is, I don't know what it is called, or even what catagory of parts it would be organized under? My manual is on the way, and I already tried searching on "Bendix" which someone told me but it only resulted in electric starter results.

Thank you for anyone who can help shed light on finding parts for the manual starter assembly. mark
