Can't find Serial Numbers

Hey! The pain in the A$$ again....i can't seem to find serial numbers on my new engine. I did find some numbers on a welsh plug though Top line being 200949A and the bottom being JOOO1040 can anyone tell me the year of the engine by those? If not where are the serial numbers printed on the block?

Shaun,<br /> The serial and model numbers are usually found on the transom mount, I belive on the port side.
