Someone gave me a mercury motor and the only numbers I can find on it is the ser # A195182.I don't even know the hp.The person said he thinks its a 50 hp it has 4 cyl.

That number matches to a 50 and if you go to http://www.marineengine.com/mfr/mercury_models.gif
you can get the year.. I'd tell you but it pops up then shrinks so fast I can not read it.
