Can't identify motor year

Hey all,
I looked and searched for a site to decode the engine serial number to get the year, but all I get is the model number (4M4102LRS)

The serial number is OM618927 on my mercruiser. It should be a 5.0L MPI 260 HP. I just can't figure out the year. (I'm having a miss fire at all RPMs other than idle and to use the online service manuals I need the year.)

Yea, I can ID it. It's a 2002 engine in a Feb. 2003 Rinker.
You need service manual 31 for the engine and 36 for the 555 ecm.

Just go to Merc parts express at http://www.mercurypartsexpress.com/PartsExpress/HomePage/homepage.asp.
Once you get to catagory selection, go to service and support material.
