ok guys i need advice I have always been a johnson person but i bought a 50 hp mercury 1974 model.
problem is motor hasnt been run in 4 years motor will not disengage to netural i have tried to drop the foot down i have everything loose ,dropped down maybe a 1/4 inch and thats it will not go any further.
I have been told that it has a star line up and should seperate inside the housing.
I have been very careful even usuing a rubber mallet to try getting it loose.be appreciated
i dont have a lot of hair but this one is about to make me loose the rest.
ANY suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
