Hey Everyone. Been a while since I have posted.. I decided it was time to upgrade my dash on my Bayliner Capri 1750. I picked up a new set of gauges and a Helix 5 fish finder and want to have them all incorporated into the panel. Here are some pics of the progress so far. I built a template from MDF so I knew the layout of the old panel to the boat. Glued up some blue styrofoam and started to carve away. After I got close to my shape, I added drywall compound. Reason why I went foam and compound way is I am going to glass over it with Epoxy resin and cloth then melt the foam away with acetone. This will leave me a nice shell the way I want it. Then I will layup matt on the inside to stiffen it up in areas as needed.

Would love to get some feedback from all you guys/gals. I will be posting more photos once I get to finish sand and also when the layup of resin is done, etc. etc.

Thanks again for all the support and great topics here!!!!
