I have a 1971 9.6 sea king which is the same as a 9.9 chrysler. There is a screw at the top of the carb that iI am told is for the rich and lean setting. Does anyone know the factory setting of this screw. How many turns out from close/

The motor idles rough and will die a low idle speed. Would to much oil cause this?

Too much oil and too low an idle will cause that too.
Turn it in till it just stopsGENTLY!!!!.Then out one full turn.Start it and turn it in slowly till the motor just starts to miss/cough/buck then out 1/2 turn.
Idle should be about 750rpm.Warm and in gear.
