carb cleaning solution

hi guys,
im in the process of rebuilding my merc carbs. I was told that you can soak the carbs in a mixture of water,dish detergent,and white vingar. Can you use this solution to soak carbs over night maybe then remove and clean with a carb cleaner. Anyone tried this?

To get gummed up carb passages really clean, a gallon can of carb/parts cleaner (like shown below) is most recommended. Carb cleaners in a spray can are less recommended. Home brew mixtures/solutions are much less recommended.
