hi folks, I have a 1996 Volvo Penta 4.3L V6 on a 20' Wellcraft runabout. I noticed last summer that fuel was coming out of the top of one of the foat bowls around the little pressed in plug that is directly above the valve that is controlled by the float. I checked the float and it floats but am wondering if anyone can help me ID the Carb, it is a holley I have a picture but am not sure how to post it here. I plan on rebuilding the carb over the next few weeks and need to find out a PN for the rebuild kit. Also any tips on how to maximize the power out of the carb would be appreciated. Thanks

If it is a holley four barrel, the List number should be on the upper right side of the choke housing as you look the the front of the carb.

I got the info, it is a 4160 Holley 600CFM unit, I ordered the rebuild kit today. Any tips or tricks with this unit to make it more efficient.

Use a Holley kit.<br />Your throttle governs efficiency.

Also on the fuel leak, is there a way to fix the leak around the plug where the gas goes from the fuel tube to the secondary float bowl. It looks like a small pressed in disk on the top of the float bowl.

If the little disk you are talking about is the bowl vent, your float was set to high.
