carb idle settings

Hi there,<br />Ive just rebuilt an OMC 70Hp, although, Im not sure how to set the idle mixture. Do you somehow do it before/after timing/pickup settings on the water? <br />thanks,<br />Mitch

If you have adjustment screws, adjust the carbs for best idle before and after the timing is set........makes for easier adjustments with a smooth running engine. When all adjustments are done, redo the idle mixture one last time....
