I have a 1978 70HP Johnson, In the manual it says that I will need a special screwdriver to take out the fixed high and low speed screws. I called the local dealership and was told it would take a week to get here and about $18. Does anyone know of any other screwdriver, and where I may find one that may work for this project?

Go to a Briggs&Stratton dealership, and ask for both sizes of fuel jet screwdrivers, they are perfect for the job and well designed-cheaper, too.......... :)

if you have a broken screw driver you can use it to grind one. I made one and it worked perfect. took 10 minutes and was ready to install new jet (bought motor from high atl location and took it to sea level) If you have the new jets you can look at them and see what shape it needs to be. good luck.
