Carb leaking fuel

I have a '94 merc 90 HP.

I'm having trouble with fuel. It is pouring out of the bottom carb. I blew the line out with air. It was OK for a little while then started leaking again. Yesterday I dropped the bowl off the bottom and cranked the motor for a while, then pushed the float up and the fuel stopped. I put the bowl back on and it started pouring out again when I cranked the motor. So, I pulled the carb off and the needle and seat look OK.

Is there suppose to be a gasket on the needle?

I am going to rebuild this carb at this point. I'm just checking to see if there is something that I am missing, or not checking?

Thanks,

Craig

Welcome to iboats.

Maybe your float doesn't float?

Re: Carb leaking fuel

That is a good point. I did have the float in my hand yesterday and did not notice it to be heavy, but I will check that tonight.

Thanks!!!!
