i am rebuilding carbs on 1975 70 hp johnson, before removing them is there any suggestions on removing the linkages to make them line up in sync better when assembling.<br />Or just do it the way the clymer book says
Just do what the book says. I rebuilt mine by just disconnecting the linkage from one end. When reassembled all settings were the same. After reassembly you should do a link and sync or atleast verify it. These carbs are pretty easy.<br /><br />The only problem I had was getting full travel from control box. Had a worn shift assy in box and stiff cables
