carb part

i have a 1969 mercruiser 120hp with a rochester 2 barrel carb and the peice where the throttle bar goes and where the choke rod hooks up broke off and i have taken that bar off and have tried to weld it and jb weld it but they don't hold it it will just brake off again within a day or two. is there any place i can order the plate and bar or is there another way i can put it back together that will hold

i have found 3 different rochester 2gc's but the butterfly valves on them are alot bigger and won't fit on my motor and i have tried takening them off and using my valves that were on my carb and fitting the rod with the throttle plate end it to my carb but not 1 of the holes will line up
