The float needle in my Mariner 25 continues to stick closed, after a thorough cleaning and rebuilding of the carb with replacement of the needle with a new one. I can put it on, run around the river, idle, run home, all's well. Go to start it a day later, won't start. Pull the carb, drop the bowl, the needle's stuck. Use finger nails to pull the needle, put it back, reassemble, off we go. I've done this no less than 10 times. This is a 1987 engine. I can't believe they designed a carb without a replaceable seat for the needle, AND without a wire clip from the needle to the float hinge mechanism. Anyone ever run into this problem?
