Carb Problem

I just replaced my CD module which fixed one problem. I noticed gas coming from the middle carb. It is coming out of the Air Jet hole.What the heck is going on??? Do I need a rebuilld kit for it??? Where do I get one??? <br /><br />This is a 1988 85hp motor.<br /><br />Thanks

Probably just a stuck float or float needle, McFly. That sometimes happens when you tilt it up.<br /><br />If tapping the bowl doesn't knock it loose drop the bowl and see what is up. Worst case overhaul it.<br /><br />Good luck.

When you say drop the bowl. Do I have to remove it from the motor??? Is there a way to drop the bowl down with out removing all three carbs. I hve a Seloc manuel but it's not real clear on the subject.<br /><br />Thanks for your help

That is correct, you will have to remove the offending carb from the motor. If you have to remove all three carbs to get there so be it.

Where do I get a rebuild kit for my carbs. I tried Napa with no luck. Where do you guys suggest I try.<br /><br />Thanks again

You will need to post your model number and HP of your motor. Different motors take different rebuild kits

My Model number is 85818B <br /><br />It is a 85 hp The serial number is 1037 if that makes any difference or not.

You can get it from a mercury dealer. The merc part number for the rebuild carb kit for your motor is FK10125 and it cost about 19 bucks per carb. In case your interested your motor is 1988
