Carb question

I cleaned out the carbs last weekend and noticed on top of the carbs there are two silver plugs that appear to be pressed in. Do these have to be puilled out to expose another jet or orifice? The carbs are WMH-1 it looks like.

Thanks for all the help.

Re: Carb question

I am not that familiar with marine type carbs, but have rebuilt many auto carbs. I would not even attempt to remove the silver plugs. A good soaking, blow out with air and you should be alright.
I had 2 stroke motor cycle carb a few years ago that I had to actually use a torch orfice cleaning tool to get a pugged jet open.

Re: Carb question

There are small passages below the plugs. If you buy a rebuild kit, new ones will be included in it. Normally, you should remove them for cleaning. For now, I would not remove them and see how it does...

Re: Carb question

Thanks for the replies. I did not put kits in them because they looked so good. The next time I am in there I will put the kits in. I figured they hid some type of orifice, but since it is running good I will let it go for now.

Thanks for the help.
