Going to do my carbs this week. I've got an OMC manual and can follow the directions. I've got 2 carb kits.

Is there any ticks/tips to doing this? I know to clean out the small passages and will have a can of carb cleaner handy.

Anything else I should look at while the carbs are off? I'll clean out the filter while I'm in there.

Be sure to soak for awhile, blow out with compressed air (not in the can)

Make sure the floats are set right... and all should be good after the rebuild

Thanks. I'll probably tear them off tonight and rebuild them tomorrow.

Here's the way I do them. Tear them down completely, including Welch plug. Soak them in Chemtool B12 liquid for usually 45 minutes depending one how gummed up the carbs are.. It comes in a 1 gallon can with a parts basket in it. When I pull the parts out of the soak I spray them off good, including every jet, orifice and passageway with Chemtool in the aerosol can with the straw. Then I blow them out with compressed air.
