rebuilding the carbs on my 72 50hp. ready to reassemble but would like to make sure it's set up properly.
anyone know what the float height is for this model? measure from the flange to float bottom when it strikes pin correct?
also, when installing gaskets is it better to use a little oil or is grease a better choice?
thank you

Not sure about your exact carb, but most float levels are set parallel to the inverted carb body. And for the most part I think your gaskets are to be assembled DRY, no oils, grease or anything else... Just completely clean every little passage and get all the crud out of the jet circuits (high speed and idle) and install new needle, seat and gaskets and reassembly it and set the bleed screws to factory initial settings and install...
