Carb removal issue

How can this nut be removed? There isnt room for it to be backed off enough. Also , is this a dumb question?

What happens when you open the throttle plate ??----Working on a 6 HP or 300 HP motor ?----If you back off both nuts the carburetor will move and you will have room !!!

ok , i feel what youre saying . I can swing that linkage out the way easy enough but the nut went tight against the thing before it was off. I will take other off and get her to move. Thanks much

Those nuts have a habit off dropping down into the casing. Stuff some kitchen towel under the carb to catch them. Use the kitchen towel when re fitting them.

While anyone is still looking at this, can you explain how to get the electronic whatever it is off the top there so I can even get that last bolt off my carb. Right under the flywheel on my 9.5 Johnson, that contraption...A magnet or something runs along side and please include any warnings....I usually get spring loaded magnets in a mess.

Shift to forward and advance the throttle fully to expose that bolt.

guy i use a 7/16 craftsman ignition wrench 7/16 box by 7/16 open end about 3 inches long its thin and fits right in on alot of motors
