carbs merc800 >950 will they work

just got a good deal on a set of carbs off of early 80hp merc hoping they will work on my 950 if ever needed, they have same body # and are a photo copy of what i have on, are the jets and rest of inside the same. hope so <br /> as once again i say thanks and GREAT SITE

At least differant size main jets, if they are both KA or like series of bodys you could probably swap jets and etc out--Bob

Why? Properly cleaned they last forever. Kits are still available too.<br /><br />That said the early 800 was 76ci and the 950 was 89ci. I doubt they used the same carb bodies 15ci and 5 years apart.<br /><br />-W

G,day<br />I think that the 950 was a 6 cylinder and the 800 is 4 cyl therefore i dont think that they will be suitable.
