carburator problem

how i can adjust the carburator i have '87 bayliner capri with 2.3 in board engine,is running but have black smoke and no power,i mess with the two screws are in the bottom or were i can find info,thanks...

The 2 screws are mixture screws,only affect the idle.The carburetor could probably use a rebuild.Check your spark plugs.

With black smoke and no power, check to make sure the automatic choke is opening.

Did you ever get that carburetor working. I have the same issue. I just bought a boat that has carb issues. It has 2.3L 2bb carb holley 2300 model. It smokes alot. Does any one know where I can find a manual to ajust my carb?
