Can anyone tell me if when the engine is idleing and you are looking down the top at a 4 barrel rochestor if it should be dumping fuel on both sides or is one o.k. My carb dumps little bit of fuel at idle only on port side and when I throttle up it begins to dump into carb but the other side is pushing more fuel out than the other is this normal one guy said it was thanks for your help

Re: carburator problems

You should see some fuel on both sides of the primary side. You may have somehthing clogging the idle circuit on the other one. It maybe time for a rebuild and thorough cleaning. Good Luck....

You shouldn't see any fuel dumping out at idle speed,on either side. The fuel used for idling should be entering the intake track below the throttle plate.
