Carburator setting for 1956 7.5 evinrude

I cleaned a 1956 7.5 carburator and now it won't keep running. Where should the needle valves be set?

Low Speed (top): 1.5 turns
High Speed: 3/4 turn

These are just starting points.

I can tell you from experience that the final settings will very from the initial settings
If I remember correct the initial settings on my '54 7.5 were 3/4 turn for the main and low speed, you fine tune from there

Start with initial settings, tune both to best running point/setting on the water.
