Does anyone have any suggestions for KEEPING the carburetion/grease stains off the transom of my boat? Ive got a 1997 Powerquest w/ Carbureted 454 Mag..........Get a TON of grease/carburetion build up after each use. Always have to wash the back with 409, Simple Green, or soap to get it off. How do I keep it off in the first place? Obviously comes out the thru hull exhaust ports.........Thanks!

Ok...so just adjust the carburetor to make it not run so rich?

Either your engine is running rich, or it is burning oil. Pull the spark plugs and "read" them. You may need a carb rebuild, or an engine rebuild.
